Skiing near Barcelona

Barcelona is truly in a privileged location. You can enjoy the gorgeous beaches in summer by swimming, tanning, or building sandcastles, and you are not too far away from the Pyrenees to go skiing in winter.

We have prepared for you a selection of three of the best ski resorts, please also note that some resorts are closer to the city than the ones we have chosen, La Molina or La Masella for example.

Vall de Núria

Located near the French border, this ski resort is two hours away from Barcelona by car. In addition to the usual services offered by ski resorts (equipment rental, restaurants, or ski and snowboard schools), the Vall de Núria ski resort includes a leisure park, ideal for children and families, with sledges of all sizes, rock climbing activities, zip-lines among others.

Moreover, it may seem like a small detail but can actually make all the difference between a pleasant stay and an amazing one: the landscapes are breathtaking.

Grandvalira

Located in Andorra, 3 hours and a half away from Barcelona, you can reach this resort by bus. Like the previous resort, this one has all the usual services too, and proposes different activities such as snowshoes walks, mushing, snowmobile, skiing at night on a special trail… The Iglú Hotel even enables you to spend the night in an igloo if you want to try a different sleeping experience, ideal for couples.

Baqueira Beret

Located 4 hours from Barcelona by car, this ski resort is the biggest around Barcelona. It includes a spa to relax after a skiing day, snow parks, three children parks, ski and snowboard schools… There are currently 155 km of skiable trails, more than 5 km of mountain routes to go hiking.
